NYX Cream Highlight & Contour Palette Review

A couple of weeks ago, I needed to restock my Clarins products. Since I order my Clarins products from a department store online, I always look for a new makeup product to try because you never know what you may find. This time around, I found the NYX Cream Highlight & Contour Palette. It was only $15 so I figured it’s not too much of a loss if I don’t like it. But I actually like it a lot.

Cream vs. Powder

I typically contour my face with a powder blush from MAC called Blunt. So I was eager to see if a cream contour worked better or worse than what I was already using. Right now, I’m liking both cream and powder products so I don’t really have a preference. But I do see a difference between the two types when I wear them.

Dull Highlight or Wrong Color?

I don’t use the highlight portion of this palette very much because it didn’t show up very well on my skin. Continue reading

My Top 5 MAC Lipsticks

I have quite a few MAC lipsticks in my makeup collection. I would say I have at least twenty and I’m still adding to that. These are my five favorite MAC lipsticks that I’ve collected thus far. They’re not in any particular order, I change my mind too much for that. Plus, I love them all equally but for different reasons. Enjoy!

Urban Decay Perversion Mascara

Mascara is one of those beauty products where you find one and then you commit to that one brand or type for years. Most people don’t have a collection of mascaras that they swap out every day. You typically have your one mascara and when it dries up or you run out, you go out and buy another one exactly like it. I had been doing that with Great Lash for at least ten years. When I would watch makeup tutorials, I didn’t even pay attention to what type of mascara was being used because I knew that I was sticking with Great Lash for life. And I figured that all mascaras were the same with a different name on the packaging. I was so wrong.

My Faves: YouTube Channels

Anyone who gets on the internet nowadays probably goes to YouTube.com at some point. I’ve been “addicted” to YouTube for about six or seven years now. Sometimes I’m just watching my favorite artists’ music videos. But other times, I’m watching tutorials, comedic videos or even reality YouTube. Here are some of my favorite YouTube channels:

Kid Fury

Kid Fury is a popular blogger/media personality with a YouTube channel (The Fury TV) and podcast (The Read). I found his YouTube channel from listening to his podcast. He and Crissle would refer to his videos/channel during certain episodes and I decided to look him up one day. I love his Furious Thoughts videos because he says a lot of hilarious things that I agree with. Continue reading
